Reza Aslan
Associate Professor of Creative Writing and Cooperating Faculty in the Department of Religion at the University of California, Riverside
Reza Aslan is the author of the recent bestseller Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus, which will be the subject of his talk.
Dr. Aslan received his BA in Religious Studies from Santa Clara University, and holds a MTS from Harvard Divinity School, as well as a PhD in the Sociology of Religions from UCSB.
His books include No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam. He has edited two volumes: Tablet and Pen: Literary Landscapes from the Modern Middle East, and Muslims and Jews in America: Commonalties, Contentions, and Complexities.
