Austin Arts Center: The Administrative Assistant for Academic Arts and Production will work with the Director of Production, providing direct support for all administrative and public relation aspects associated with production activity for the constituent departments of Music and Theatre & Dance as well as a variety of guest artists and college related events. A dotted line of communication to both the Music and Theater/Dance Chairs will be maintained for coordinating the marketing and promotion for the respective department production activities.

Inter-Arts/Film Studies Program: The Administrative Assistant for Academic Arts and Production will also assist the Director of Inter-Arts and the Director of Film Studies, providing administrative support throughout the academic year as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience in academic and/or non-profit arts organizations
• Experience in the communications or public relations field
• Experience in performing arts administration
• Excellent office management skills
• Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and work with student staff
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at a time
• Sincere commitment to working collaboratively with all constituent groups, including faculty, staff, students, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters
• Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
• Team player

This is a Level 12, full-time (39 hours/week), full-year, non-exempt position. Salary is commensurate with candidate’s education and experience.
