Andre Rochester is a native of Hartford, CT. He specializes in acrylic, charcoal, watercolor and pastel. He studied illustration at the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts. Andre is the illustrator of a children’s book titled, “The Sunflower and the Rose,” written by Dana Rondel. Two of his illustrations are featured in a documentary by Filmmaker/Motivational speaker Reggie Bullock called “Resurrection and Forgiveness: the Nadine Lee Story.”
Andre was a resident artist at Paris in Plantsville Gallery & Studio from March 2010- March 2011. He is also a founding member of the Pro+Cre8 Artist Group.
His most recent endeavors include curating for other artists and teaching classes from his studio. On July 13, 2013, Andre opened Rochester Fine Art Studio at 30 Arbor Street, Hartford, CT.
