Asali Solomon was born and raised in Philadelphia. Get Down, her first book, earned her a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award and was a finalist for the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award. In 2007, she was named a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 honoree. Her second novel, Disgruntled, is a coming-of-age tale and a portrait of Philadelphia in the late ’80s and early ’90s and was named one of the best books of 2015 by The Denver Post.  She teaches English at Haverford College.

This reading is free and open to the public.  A reception and book signing will follow.
